ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main responsibilities:
- Analyze mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions, identify problems in design, plan, manage and deliver multiple projects
- Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of site works with regards to MEP services and report to team leader
- Manage the day-to-day work of the Facilities Management team, provide technical advice to designer, supervisor, inspector and contracting service provider, regarding installation and maintenance of MEP System
- In conjunction with admin, ensure that the filing/logging of the MEP documentation is undertaken in line with the project handbook and continually monitor
- Review Contractor’s installation method statements/risk assessment, fit out works drawings, and oversee the work of contractors
- Review contractor’s as-built drawings against the design drawings for compliance with the design intent and return to team leader with appropriate comments/approval within the specified contractual period
- Monitor and promote health and safety on the site; record and report any breaches to team leader. If required, stop the construction works in case unsafe practices are being followed.
- Maintain an on-going list of mechanical service defects for contractor’s remedial action, undertake final project inspection and prepare a list of defects for Contractor’s action
- Review and comment on the Contractor’s Operation and Maintenance manuals, Tenant Fit-out works Guidelines
- Work closely with Project Management Team during the inspection and handover of projects
Other missions:
- Maintain and improve the relationships with all internal departments, suppliers, agents and contractors
- Promote teamwork among subordinates and colleagues
- Perform other tasks assigned by team leader
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and other related fields
- At least 5 years of construction project management or facility management experience with working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Project Management software
- Familiar with industrial projects
- Strong problem-solving and communication skill
